Applications for artisans, craftspeople and vendors now being accepted
The Woodlands, TX - The Woodlands Mall, owned by General Growth Properties (GGP), announces plans to host its second two-day Artisan Sale on Saturday and Sunday, April 30 and May 1. The event will feature unique specialty and one-of-a-kind jewelry, apparel, handbags, decor and more items from local artisans, craftspeople and vendors. All of the work will be for sale.
The Artisan Sale will be held:
-
Saturday, April 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
-
Sunday, May 1 from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m.
‘We launched the Artisan Sale at The Woodlands Mall last year and we had a wonderful turnout. In fact, we had a waiting list. We expect the same – actually more – for 2011. The Woodlands Mall is a natural venue to showcase the works of local artists and craftspeople. We’re in a convenient location; we have lots of shoppers; there’s no admission fee. It’s a win-win for everyone, vendors and shoppers. I hope that individuals who are interested in being a part of the sale will send applications in quickly,’ says Rebecca Harlien, group business development representative for the shopping center.
North Star Mall, a GGP property in San Antonio, is also planning to host an Artisan Sale. Artisans who wish to participate in all both events enjoy a reduced booth fee. Dates for the North Star Mall Artisan Sale are Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8.
To participate in the Artisan Sale at The Woodlands Mall, the rental fee for a 10’ x 10’ booth is $250. Vendors who choose to participate in the Artisan Sale at both The Woodlands Mall and North Star Mall in San Antonio will enjoy a discounted fee.
