Holiday Festivities at The Woodlands Mall
Story Time with Mrs. Claus every Thursday; Victorian Carolers every Friday; and more through December 24

THE WOODLANDS, TX (December 8, 2011) Twas the month of December and holiday shoppers, young and old, were enjoying the magic and merriment of the season, thanks to festivities at The Woodlands Mall. Mr. and Mrs. Claus, Victorian Carolers – even snow and time for cats and dogs. It’s a December full of fun at The Woodlands Mall.

THE MISTLETONES
Caroling in The Courtyard every Friday of the holidays. Now through December 23, on Friday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m., The Mistletones Victorian Carolers, an a cappela group, will be performing favorite holiday songs in The Courtyard Shops, sponsored by BMW/MINI of The Woodlands. Everyone will be invited to sing along (lyrics provided) or just stop to enjoy the moment. Along with the musical festivities, guests will enjoy sampling of holiday treats. Shoppers can also enjoy an up-close look at the new MINI, which makes a great holiday gift – almost small enough to fit under the tree. In case of inclement weather, Caroling in The Courtyard will move inside the shopping center.

Mrs. Claus has come to town. Santa’s jolly wife will be reading favorite holiday stories from her rocking chair near Santa’s Castle, on the lower level in Center Court near Banana Republic, at 1 p.m. on Thursdays, December 8, 15 and 22. Reservations are not needed for Story Time with Mrs. Claus/

Visits with Santa. Santa will be in his Holiday Castle, in its new location in Center Court, daily until Saturday, December 24. His crew of elves is ready to take a commemorative photo, if desired. Parents/caregivers can find Santa’s schedule at www.thewoodlandsmall.com. For specific questions for Santa’s elves, call 866-447-6935 x7157 and leave a message. An elf will return the call.

During the week, Santa takes breaks to check on toy production. His break hours are Monday through Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. On Saturday, December 24, Santa arrives at 8 a.m. and takes a break from 1 to 1:30 p.m. before he leaves at 6 p.m. to start his deliveries. Visits with Santa are at no charge. Photo packages start at $23.

Santa’s brought the snow, too. To make certain Santa feels right at home, the elves at The Woodlands Mall have arranged for some fun snow flurries to sprinkle down around the Holiday Castle every day when Santa arrives each morning and also after each of his breaks. To catch the snowfall, guests should stop by about five minutes before Santa arrives in the morning and about five minutes before he returns from breaks. Hours are listed at www.thewoodlandsmall.com and also at the Holiday Castle. On Monday through Saturday, his breaks end at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. On Sunday, he’s back at 3:30 p.m. For a Christmas Eve snow flurry, guests should stop by about 1:30 p.m.

Last Pet Night is Monday, December 12. Pet owners are invited to bring their four-legged friends to come by and have a photo taken with Santa on the last St. Nick’s Pet Pics on Monday, December 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. [Cats and dogs on a leash or in an appropriate carrier only, please. Animals, other than those servicing the disabled, are not allowed in the shopping centers other than during St. Nick’s Pet Pics.
