HOUSTON, TX - January 13, 2006 - "We are thrilled to bring a dynamic lineup of speakers to the fourth annual Spring Home and Garden Show at The Woodlands," said show producer Tony Wood, president, Texwood Shows, Inc. The show will feature top industry professionals that will cover every aspect of home décor, landscape design and home technology. "Attendees will have access to professional expertise they can't get anywhere else in the area," said Wood.

The Spring Home and Garden Show at The Woodlands, featuring over 200 exhibitors, will be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday, March 4-5, 2006.

Bill Stubbs, author of "I Hate Red, You're Fired! - The Colorful Life of an Interior Designer" is one of the speakers Wood is featuring at the show. Hailed by Architectural Digest as one of the top 100 designers and architects at work today, Stubbs invites people to add a "Moment of Luxury" to their lives. His exciting and dynamic presentations on the show stage will give instructions on: 10 techniques under $10 to add luxury to your life; how to accessorize easily in a luxurious way; how to use what you've already got to achieve an expensive look.

Peggy McGowen, Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer, is recognized as one of the top experts in her field. Her presentation "Kitchens & Baths a Designer's Touch!" will reveal designer secrets for turning kitchens and baths from awful to awesome. Learn where to make compromises and where to splurge to have that perfect designer kitchen and bath!

Michael Cartwright has designed outside environments for some of the most prestigious homes and neighborhoods in Texas and is the winner of several national design awards. His presentation, "How to Create and Implement Your Landscape Master Plan" will help homeowners get started down the right path.

Michael Garfield, "The High-Tech Texan," and KPRC host, will also make presentations at the show. Garfield believes that Home Technology should simplify our lives rather than make things more complicated. He will help attendees understand the basics of today's new home technologies which can make life more enjoyable.

Randy Lemmon, host of KRPC's "Gardenline" show is one of Houston's renowned lawn and garden experts. He will bring expert advice for gardening pros as well as beginners. Lemmon will also be signing copies of his latest book, "Gulf Coast Gardening with Randy Lemmon," which will be available for purchase at the show.

Brenda Beust Smith, "The Lazy Gardener" columnist, will be on hand to help solve gardening dilemmas. Attendees are encouraged to bring sketches or photos of hard-to-plant spots for plant recommendations.

Over 200 exhibitor professionals will be on hand to assist those planning remodeling projects or building custom homes. Categories include: custom home builders, landscape contractors, kitchen cabinetry, interior designers, patio/deck builders, bath specialists, flooring, window treatments, outdoor kitchens, pool builders, spas, lighting indoor/outdoor, home theater, sunrooms, windows, doors and more!

"People all around the Houston area love our Spring Home & Garden Show at The Woodlands," Wood said. "They enjoy it because everything is right here in The Woodlands! Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, and kids under 12 get in free. Bring your new construction blueprints for a FREE admission. There's plenty of FREE covered parking in the Convention Center garage on Six Pines with walkway to the Hotel.
