LIVE MUSIC CONCERT SERIES AT WATERWAY SQUARE
PRESENTED BY UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX

THE WOODLANDS, TX (October 1, 2009) – University of Phoenix joins Live at Lunch and Live at Five at Waterway Square this fall as the presenting sponsor!

            University of Phoenix is excited to be a part of this live music series says Christina Robinson Grochett, University of Phoenix – South Texas Vice President and Director. “These dynamic community events bring friends and family as well as people of all ages together to enjoy themselves,” says Grochett. “As a new neighbor in The Woodlands area, University of Phoenix is excited to partner with the community and kick-off the fall by bringing residents and visitors together for a truly memorable experience.”

Live at Lunch is every Tuesday through October 27 at Waterway Square from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The events feature live music from Ramon Torres and lunch is available for purchase (cash only) by Tesar’s Modern Steak & Seafood (October 6), Americas (October 13), and Rise & Dine (October 20 and 27).

            Live at Five at Waterway Square is every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This fall enjoy live bands highlighting tributes from different decades. Beverage service is provided by Crush Wine Lounge will be available for purchase (cash only) along with food by Kirby’s Steakhouse (October 7 and 21), Jasper’s (October 14), and Which Wich (October 28). Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets!

Live at Lunch and Live at Five are free to the public.

Waterway Square, located along Lake Robbins Drive between Waterway Avenue and Woodloch Forest Drive, is open seven (7) days a week from 6 a.m. to midnight, and features a 120-foot long, 10-foot high stone water wall where ribbons of water flow down seven terraced levels to a lower pond with 20 cascade jets.  The water wall is flanked by stairs and stepped water cascades, all leading to an upper fountain containing 80 jets and three boomer jets that shoot water up to 75 feet high.  The water jets, waterfalls and cascades are designed to create a variety of displays and effects ranging from the subtle flow of water over a stone wall to dancing columns of water, to intense bursts of water shooting several stories into the air. Waterway Square features seven speakers on the upper level and 12 speakers on the lower level.
